I have a silly question haha I never bought a card reader when I got into all this. Is there a reason I should? I just plug my SD cards right into my laptop and import the photos to LR, then export the ones I edit to my external HD. What advantage is there to a card reader? Just faster reading or something more?

Thanks. I always here photographers saying one of the first things you should get is a card reader and I'm always thinking . . . why? haha

Makes sense if you have no other way to get photos to your computer.

yea. I mean i can just plug in the camera..but i need to put a real file on.

Ill take my 8 core 12 GB ram stable as a rock mac over a PC any day..no PC operating system is worth a shit..and XP is officially going to be unsupported next month so it'll be dead and it was the last decent one.

Liniux is nice..but nothing runs on it i need.

Are you concerned about it damaging you camera? I would like to try it out since I don't currently have a remote shutter lock, but am hesitant since I haven't even had the camera (T3i) for 2 months yet.

Too many photos in an HDR tends to not look so great in my limited experience.

    yep..9 bracket..haha or 8..or 7..or 6..or 5...or 4...

you get the idea :p haha

    pretty sweet shit in here..

Dude it works EXACTLY like a normal canon..only if you want to use and access the ML stuff do you hit the delete button and it open ML.

Not really a hack..im going to go shoot some stuff though..shit is cool.

Magic Lantern firmware..its an opensource project that adds features to canon camera..sorry..no love for nikon..i think..might be something they are looking to expand too though not sure..

its free though which is whats awesome. ANd works well. Most of the vids you see with 5Ds are using ML. Even allows HDR video..
