I'm on my second tacoma. First was 1999 that I bought new and modded with pretty much everything at one time or another for 14 years. Toyota bought it back due to frame rust. New tacoma is exact same truck down to the black color with alpine nav/dvd, tint, de-badged, and softopper, so far.
How would I go about installing a switch to completely defeat all airbags and engine shutoff just in case I wanted to ram something really hard with my frame mounted bull bar on my 2013 taco? Am I the first person to think about this?

My first question is: Are you serious?

Second one is: What are you ramming? Dead hookers?

You have a brand new truck. Why would you want to ram shit with it?

Some people may also ask why we wheel out brand new trucks.

I wasn't gonna question his ramming stuff haha

Like posted what if you take the fuse out

    This^^
Also what kind of bull bar? Any aftermarket bull bar probably won't survive a hit (depending what it is)

Yes you are likely the first person to think of ramming something with a 2013 Tacoma hard enough to risk triggering the air bags.

I have had a bit of experience with 4x4 rough and tumble and it wouldn't be my first rodeo with full frontal chaos. Just asking for technical reasons not moral or fatherly advice. And no. I didn't watch one too many episodes of the Dukes of Hazard. Just looking for technical advice.

    Nope.

Had a thread about a year ago where a guy was wanting a bumper that was stout enough to ram other cars out of the way like some kind of redneck off-road VIP escape vehicle.

Why would one want to ram a dead hooker (or a live one for that matter)?
Does it really matter that it is new? It's all about capabilities and potential situations.
Are there no NASCAR fans here?
What if you don't have a tractor to knock down that tree?
Now I'm starting to feel paranoid that my motivations are suspect.
Ask a simple tech question and get dissected as some sort of weirdo who wants to ram things.
I DON'T WANT TO RAM ANYTHING WITH MY NEW TRUCK, I'M JUST SERIOUSLY INTO MANUAL CONTROL!

I have no idea how powerful a hit it takes to set off the system.

Ram whatever you want but don't come whine about you were stupid to ruin your new truck. You can rent a tractor to rip down a tree or hire someone for cheaper than being a dumbass.

Any ramming would be spur of the moment. No time to deal with a fuse.

Hopefully I will never, ever have to ram anything. But if for some completely unknown reason (at this point in time) I someday feel the urge, I'D LIKE TO KNOW HOW TO TURN THE SYSTEM OFF! Jeez you guess don't give tech advise easy. You remind me of the old guy at the gas station when asked for directions, he says "ya can't get ther frum hear".
