I think it's almost out. But yeah we haven't had measurable rain in at least 3 months. Maybe 4. We got a quick 5 minute sprinkle three days ago that didn't even get the ground wet. It evaporated on contact.

Man, that's a pretty bad drought. (atleast for out this way)

Hope y'all get some rain soon! Wildfires can REALLY get going good if there's a bad drought.

I got evacuated during the 2007 wildfires. Five people I knew had their houses burned down.

They're predicting a lot of rain this winter. I'm really hoping for it. We'll see.

One of my friends was in Minnesota when the fires came to his neighborhood and his family couldn't get anything out so they literally lost everything except for what they took with them to Minnesota. That includes two of their three cars. My friends Tundra was the only thing that didn't go up in flames, which is odd since it was parked on the street underneath a tree that burned down.

Wow! That's sad man! :(

Insurance covered it, right? That would be horrible to not have insurance and lose everything. But anything that insurance can't replace, like sentimental things are lost, is sad to see go.

Yeah their insurance covered just about everything. Both of their cats died though. I found their bones when I was going through the rubble with him.

Their new house is incredibly nice though. It's like three times as big. It looks really out of place in the neighborhood.

Yep. That was some scary stuff.

I think this is Westwood, which is a neighborhood a mile away from mine.

    Man, that's terrible!

How did that one house not even get touched in that pic?

I don't know man. Fires do weird things!

My friend's house and the two next it were the only three to go on that street. All of the backyards were against a busy street and the front of the houses faced the rest of the neighborhood. I'm trying to find a picture on Google to try to demonstrate the hit or miss of this fire.
