Sorta true...a lot of people and big corporations didn't move from Xp and STILL are on it..including a lot of hospitals and such..it was just..stable..as shit. Worked great. 98 was still better but compared to what we have now..xp was great.

but microsoft after extending the updates for for the last idk..4 years or something..are finally killing it off in March. Hackers..are gonna have a hay day..cause so many big systems are still on it and there wont be any updates for new malware/virius/spam bots..the works. Gonna be crazy.

 

The stats say that 29% of all active Windows computes are running WinXP.

Yeah I just meant for personal computers really. I can see businesses sticking with it. No reason to spend the money if the software you use is still compatible.

Hell even more incentive if you paid a programmer to write you some special software that you are probably going to have to pay again to rewrite it if you upgrade to a new OS.

The space shuttles still uses software and hardware from the 80's. The Army is big on using old software as well. All about simplicity. Sinple is more reliable. Look at old cell phones from the earlier 2000's. They have far less issues than modern smart phones do. But smartphone are literally hand held computers now. Super complex inside.

You can work it in yo....just be careful man.go in straight and be slow about it. 1/2 a turn at a time. Back the tap out 1/4 a turn and go in A @/2 turn or a bit more and reverse it out a 1/4 and so forth until your all the way in yo.

i mean i think its just physically too big to even start in the hole, the m14 juuust fits with the threads all basicially gone, the 16 is just bigger all around . but i shall give it a whirl

yup sorry man, i just fucked up the hole even more. the tap was too big, to by the time i got the hole opened up enough for the tap it was too big and the teeth werent even biting on the metal and the tap just flopped around in the hole. i dont know what the fuck im going to do about it

on the motorcycle the radiator fan is ran off a shaft comming out of the engine on the front of the bike. the fan has a metal ring in the middle that is flanged that jams on the end of the shaft then gets bolted on. to get the fan off you are supposed to thread an m14 into the fan which pushes against the shaft and pops the fan off. well some how the PO managed to destroy the threads so there were almost none left to use to pop the fan off the shaft. I tried to tap it but only managed to make the hole basicially too big AGAIN, so the tap wont bite now and i still cant figure out a way to get the fan off. im going to get an entire tap set tomorrow and see if anything works

 

speaking of which, have you given any thought to trying to make some of the meets this spring/summer/fall?

also on that note...i might have found a good deal on me chevy spring swap early haha!


00-07 1/2 ton springs for 75 bucks? Silas said they should work fine. and for that price and a newer spring, i figure its a good bet
