This is not what I want to do, but feel it's the best thing for me. After driving my 2013 for close to 25K miles I have decided it is not for me. Don't get me wrong, I'm an all Toyota guy. I decided to go back to a 4Runner as I have had them in the past and just love them. I found a used 2008 4Runner and bought it Monday. A 2008 4WD V8 with only 59K on it.

I could make a list of the reasons but I am sure it will turn into a pissing contest. That is not what I want! There's tons of helpful and great people on this site and will continue to be here as well. Another great site is T4R.org. Great place for the 4Runner, but with the Tacoma being a lot like it it might be helpful you guys as well.

Why isn't it what you want to do? Just curious, the rest of your post seems to contradict that statement.

    I didn't want a box for hauling stuff, I'd own a 4 runner.

We have 4 4Runners in our family. The V8 is the tank, love the low end torque and the fulltime 4WD.

    Enjoy.

I didn't want to get rid of the Tacoma as it looked so darn good, don't want the hassle of selling it.
I am enjoying the 4Runner though. For as close as the 4R and Tacoma used to be, it's like night and day compared to the Tacoma.

At least the tacoma should be an easy sale. When I sold my 11 it went pretty quick.

Nothing wrong with your decision. Great alternative choice as I've seen some nicely modded 4runners 4x4's. You don't have to stray far from the forum since there is a 4runner forum here. : http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/4runners/
