I have a 06 Tacoma recently its been having a hard time starting. When you turn the key it clicks (like when the battery is dead) turn the key again and the truck turns over. This does not happen every time and some times it take 2 to3 turns before it start. Would this be a starter issue?

I would have the battery tested first. Could be getting weak before dieing.

If the batter tests good, and the connections are clean and tight, then most likely the starter solenoid contacts are burnt out - they are easily and cheaply replacable on these Denso starters.
