Toyota generosity-You gotta read this!!!

When I was about to buy my tacoma, I emailed toyota asking for specs on the 2012 model as I was trying to decide between a 2011 and 2012, they replied that they could not send the info as it was not yet released and told me if i bought a toyota they would send me a cheque.

They did, not much back but it was the gesture....

 

When I bought my truck in Oct. there was a bit of a mix up on it being a 13 or 14. It was right between model years and one of the window stickers had 2014 on it but the main window sticker had 13. I read the wrong one along with the salesman. It was printed up as a 13 in F&I and didn't really pay attention until I got home and started pealing the stickers off the truck. I don't let the dealership touch the vehicles that I buy. I wash them myself because I don't want some 16 year old kid scratching the shit out of it.

I had posted on here about the new truck and someone brought up it was a 13 model. I got to looking closer and sure enough it was. Called Toyota and told them the situation and within 2 weeks had a $500 (I suppose you could call it) rebate check. In the end it actually worked out better since I got the mirror with the temp and Compass so I was happy. It was just as much my fault for not paying attention so all in all I was happy.

 

I just got my reply back and they are sending me some TRD stickers!

 

I sent an email to them this morning, with a reply of a $150 reimbursement towards service and or parts at a toyota dealer

You got lucky! All they offered me was +$750 on the trade of my truck... with its frame cancer

 

Wow, that would make my heart sink and mind spin the moment I found that the vehicle that I bought wasn't current year when I thought it was. Great of Toyota to make it right.

 

I emailed them as well; they're sending me stickers!

 

They said they would send out some TRD stickers to me. Thanks for the heads up!

I emailed as well. Asked for stickers, hoping for $200 off accessories.

The whole process makes me feel way too entitled, but what can it hurt, right?

 

I wonder who we have to reach around for a super charger...

 

Why do you guys want to put more stickers on? All I really want is to debadge my Taco and peel off all of those TRD crabs of my ride . I'm sure I am a minority here but oh well.

And, I will be receiving TRD stickers as well. Worth a shot guys, good work OP. I'm sure the customer service reps were scratching their heads asking why all these Tacoma guys want stickers so badly. Eventually they will run out, then what will they send out...?

 

Stickers here too. Maybe there will be a coupon in the envelope?

I asked for stickers and got a reply saying they are sending me trd stickers a truck keychain and a thermos water bottle
