What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Stealership was supposed to disable the piece of shit while they were disabling the seat belt chime. And because of the air filter debacle I was really pissed, so the piece of shit needed to go. Plus, its all flimsy and stupid looking. Good riddance.

It's the buzzer that sends out an audible chirp when you lock or unlock the doors with the key fob, A.K.A. the plastic piece of shit.

Whered you get the LEDs bed lights that runs under your bed railing

 

Not today, but yesterday, re-installed my retros. Found out I have a broken bucket on one headlight, that I have to remove and transfer the projector to a new bucket. As well, one of the lights had broken tabs, so the bulb doesn't securely connect to the bulb, and therefore doesn't work right now, unless you use the light tabs to hold it all together, but then it doesn't project properly. And the surround on one light is cracked, so I have to remove and paint the ones that came with the stock replacement lights after my accident, and install those ones. So I have light for now, but I still have work to do. And I need to reseal them with clear silicone after. But it still looks better than the chrome lights that were in there, my truck is blacked out again. Next up, the grillcraft grill. But I'm going to wait for a warm day for that, because I have to sit on the concrete to get the lower grill installed. And it's going to be -25*C this weekend, that's not going to cut it.

 

Today and yesterday, been looking for leather for my arm rests. Anyone know where to get some? I looked on e-bay and the net, and mostly all I find is faux.

 

There are a few guys on here that make kits but I am decent with wiring so I just bought the LED strip on ebay and hooked it up while I was hooking up my canopy lighting. The tape was horrible so I am replacing the tape with 3m automotive tape. The tape also could have been a problem because it was around 40 degrees when I was installing it.

I know one guy on here took his to a leather shop to get it done. I made my own while I was making my leather seat covers.

 

Did you get the leather online? If so, where?

what did you end up doing with it? sending it back?

 

I just left it that way for a while and recently pulled it off and slapped a different light bar on my bumper. Right now it is sitting in my storage closet waiting to be taken apart, cleaned and properly sealed.

 

now im worried shit is going to get in there!! maby i should spray it down while i got warranty on it. what kind did you end up going with?

 

Who knows, yours may be just fine, I am just speaking from my experience. I ended up with a blitzpro which has been just fine thus far.
