What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Only the very back clip wasn't broken on my old one and it was almost cracked in half.

I expect it to last at least 5+ years if the other one lasted 12 haha




In other news.... So. Much. Wiring....

 

It's the first time it has ever happened on this truck, I will probably order an LCE valve cover and gasket this summer along with some other stuff.

 

Ya that is what I was reading, I was very careful when I started tightening them back down.

 

Mines just hanging there also thinking about using a zip tie to hold the front half in the slot

 

you need heat shrink..now.

Then why in the heck are you using e tape to wrape those and not heat shrink tube?

 

Where'd you find that? Mind isn't cracked but the things on the inside wore out so it doesn't stay on as well.

 

Because at the time I didn't think I'd be able to slip the heat shrink over the connections. But now looking at it I probably can haha doing wiring at 5:00 in the morning, great idea....

It did expire, but they are still the cheapest dealership to order parts from. Even with shipping they beat almost any other dealership in the country. Please they are awesome people to work with.

Camelback has great prices and if you don't see your part on there you can just call them and they will figure it out for you. I'm sure it would be more like 100$ if you got it from your local toyota dealer..

 

It helps if you have a little brother who works at a Lexus dealership so he can order parts at cost.
