Engine bay real muddy

Anyone have any good way to clean this out...

Drove thru some mud... 15-20 times at 35 MPH offroad and sprayed mud all over the truck including the engine bay... been driving around about a month like this and I'm worried this might not be the best thing for it.

I'm sure I can just spray it out... any problems with this?

It was a bitch to get all the mud out of the under carriage!

 

Yeah, just wash it out with a pressurewasher, but don't keep the jet in one place over, say, a second because it can push something loose. Give it a good rinse and you'll be fine.

yeah you can just rinse everything out. just make sure that your electrical wires and stuff dont get to wet...

 

So... I shouldn't spray the alternator directly for 5 minute?

 

haha i did that too, and washed my truck for like a week straight almost, i still have some clay under there.

you can i mean like the other electrical wires. just make sure to clean in and out of it so the mud and stuff dont stick on and messes up things later down the road.. ooh and before you do it. make sure you un hook the battery off so no power at all..

 

All I did was get the garden hose and nozzle and sprayed mine off, I didn't disconnect the battery either, but I did heed the "don't spray in one area to long" warning.I left the hood up and let the sun dry it out, I didn't have anywhere to go.
