connectors should never be used in a non insulated state!

But glad it worked out in the long run, you probably didnt fry the original relay.

You can do the same thing from the AC relay in the lil accessory relay box to the right of the main box and you FR FOG relay.

Your relays are in just slightly different locations than the new setups. Also you could possibly pull from the EFI relay as pictured in previous posts but i am not sure if you would get randomly turning on fog lights.

I did mine using the EFI relay. My fog lights occasionally turn on for a bit throughout the day and night. They don't stay on for long and they don't come on that often either. I don't worry about it. I haven't had a problem with battery drain either.

Will definitely give this a shot this weekend.

The only thing I need to purchase is insulated connectors?

I am a total electrical newbie.

And a crimping tool if you don't have one.

How much did you pay for the relay at AZ?

Tag the EFI like mentioned below. It is post #15 in this thread and it includes pictures if you need a visual.

    Awesome thank you.

Then at that point it's plug and play with a new relay and connectors and I should be good to go?

Easy, four male connectors, four insulated female connectors, four short pieces of wire, and a crimping tool.

So this isn't pretty, but it's on a 2010 trd sport. For those of you without the ac-dc relay in the separate fuse box. Thanks to the OP. Made this super easy!

A quick question on the reference to "thin blade" connectors in the OP, as I'm having trouble working out how to fit two blades in the same slot? As it was easier to wire the FOG FR to the DIM relay in my 2011 TRD I'm trying to wire it following the instructions in post 39.

Any advice on how this should be done would be appreciated, as the connectors I'm currently using seems too tight to fit two into the single slot. Thanks in advance.

I almost did the same thing...but looked one more time at the photos before making final connections, and realized I needed insulated connectors.

Great mod. Look forward to doing it to my 2014. I would like to know when my fog lights are on with some sort of indicator light. Ideally, the fog light switch should light up whenever the fog lights are on. Has anyone tackled that problem? If so, post a link to the thread, please.
