Looking at a 2010 silver SR5 DCLB 4x4 with 25k miles. Its at a gmc dealer.

I'm worried I'd be loosing out on certified warranty from a Toyota dealer.

I Assume this will only have what's remaining on the orig 60k power train? What are your thoughts on this?

Also, price is $28k out the door. I'm in south texas. Thoughts on that price?

If you want a TFS certified warranty the vehicle has to be certified by a Toyota dealer(aka the dealer pays Toyota for the certification) which will get you 12month/12k mile bumper to bumper and a 100k powertrain warranty. An extended warranty on a certified pre owned Toyota through TFS has to be purchased at the time of sale unlike an extended warranty on a new Toyota.

Price sucks in my opinion. My local Toyota dealer will put you in a 2014 TRDOR pre-runner double cab for $28,883. Right now. Today. No ifs ands or buts.

None at this time and that's just what I wanted a stock used truck to start with
Yeah I think price is way to high I live in CA, aka (the over priced state) I just bought 2010 double cab trd sport 4x4 in great shape with 70 k miles for 22,000. No it does not have a warranty and has 45k more miles but that's not worh $6,000 dollars. Buy a new one

if you really like the truck and depending on how good the frame looks why dont you make a low ball offer and see what they say?

Offer them 25, and if they say no, you walk away from the dealer and never look back.

the dealer most likely will call you and make a counter offer which will be in between your price and their asking price.

Typically a failure in the transmission is covered under the warranty. The only way to know for sure is to call a local dealership and supply them with your VIN and current mileage.

Agree, price seem way too high. A new car will get you better insurance rates and better loan rates which may offset difference in price between this 2010 and a 2014 over time.
