I sent an email off to ARB about my delima and they replied three hours later. That's a pretty quick turnaround!

    Here's the response:

It looks like I'm good to go with my proposed configuration. :woot:

    ARB Compressor install

    Parts:

    Compressor
    CKSA12

    Pneumatic control system:

    Switches
Air Toggle Vale Kit - Fr + Rr ARBs

I called powertank to confirm the fittings and the supplied parts that come with the switches. The confirmed that all of the fittings are now push to connect which makes life a lot easier.

    Bulkhead fittings

    Switch covers (in black)

Here's the diagram for the pneumatic switches. I'll have to get into it before I figure out where the bulkhead fittings will go. There will need to be at least one in the firewall for the main supply. If there is room below the center console to make the bend I'll put the remaining air lines through the floor.

These are going to make life much easier!

having not cracked open my center console area since wiring the in-cab controls from my winch, and not having a manual transmission, have you verified you have the room to do it there? that's right about where the parking brake cable exits the vehicle if my memory serves.

Colin, you have 12volt guys switch covers, right? Does the cover turn the switch off when you lower it down?

I've pulled it off several times, and if memory serves there is room. Now that I have these things in hand I'll have to reconfirm.

If they won't fit there I'll have some head scratching to do.

In the picture above, the switches are in the vent position, or the off position. That means the ports will all face the front of the truck. Running all of the air lines is going to be fun.

i'd rather them face the front. all of my wires going to that area go through the factory firewall penetration, so everything jsut snakes up under the dash, right below the steering column.

My current plan is to have all four lines run through the floor under the center console.

That's the plan at least. I'm going to have to drill four holes somewhere.

I was planning on using four of these, which I've already purchased. It wouldn't be the first time that I've bought something and ended up using something different. I'll look at the fitting you listed.

ah, i got ya. essentially the same things that you're using for the emergency splices, just with threaded boddies?

the advantage to the marine fitting is that there is no cut in the line, which in your case, means 8 fewer potential failure points.

Damn you for finding a better solution! So you drill a slightly smaller hole through the rubber insert and run your lines through it?

correct. you only have to drill holes, but if you had a fitting or something on the end, you can cut slits into it to prevent the need for removal of the fitting. then it's all compression to seal it up. you can add some marine grease to really get the job done, but it's not needed

I took a walk out to the truck. I may need to change around the fittings to make this work. There is space between the bottom of the cup holder and the floor of the truck, but probably not enough to support a bend.

I may need to order a different "T". See below

either a new T, or just get a 90 degree solid elbow, with a male fitting on one side and female on the other, and then reuse the exsisting T.
Home depot/lowes will carry the 90*, but i doubt they'll have the T.
