    I am planning on ordering the Mt. Rainier, but will be mounting over the bed of a DCSB. This will leave approx. 12-14 inches of unsupported area off the back end. Will this be an issue?

    I'm not sure that there was a set price difference for the group shipping in the last group buy. A lot of it depended on how many tents were going to each location.

    regardless - the group shipping rate is less so as long as you're not going to be going out of your way (and burning through a tank of gas) to get to the spot that the tents are delivered its worth it.

    Is there any reason why you couldn't mount it "sideways", so that when the tent is open the ladder is behind the truck? I believe our truck is right about 72" wide, so the Ranier should fit that way without hanging over the sides, right? I'm looking at the same, Ranier mounted over the bed on my DCSB.

    You could have it open that way, its all about preference.
    But your ladder would be at your tailgate so you would have limited access while its opened.
