Being new to the Tacoma I am reading the owners manual, In it is says the Tacoma can come with one of two sets of keys, one set with the engine immobilizer system, has (2) master keys & (1) valet key, and the other has (3) master keys, I have the engine immobilizer and have the set with the Valet Key, What is the Valet Key used for?? Thanks D.

x2. The valet key lets the valet park the car while the other keys can lock and unlock the glove box.

    edit: Welcome to TW.

I used my valet the other day when I had my dogs with me. I had to stop by 2 Wal-Marts till I found what I needed. But being in AZ rolling the windows down for the dogs is still too hot IMO. So I just leave the truck running with the air on and used the valet key to lock the doors from the outside. Works great for that.

Don't think so. You can't start the truck with the valet key since it doesn't have the chip in it. I guess it's called a valet key so you can lock them out of the glove box but I would think the ign. key could do that too.
