I got my retrofit kit from TRS earlier this week but won't be able to install it for over a month so I wanted to test the electrical parts to make sure they work. The HID's are easy but what about the halos? Can I just hook them up to the battery or do I have to have a fuse in there? I'm pretty much an idiot for anything electrical, I know what the parts are called, just not how to wire them.

Pretty sure you just wire them to a 12v source, they don't come with resistors or anything that I know of

Just used one of these attached to the power wire for the running lights.

How did you mount the halo to the shroud is what I meant.

Mine was large enough to slide over it, but for safe measure I drilled 3 small holes in the shroud and tied it down with twist ties with the paper/cardboard material taken off.

take a 12v battery thats charged from a cordless drill and hit the contacts. Did that all the time. You just have to make sure its a 12v not 18v
