Well, I am into doing some upgrades. What would be a better price/performace ratio, a high performance muffler or cat back?

This is what I am looking into:

Either Aero Turbine or Dynomax as mufflers and TRD cat back.

I am not looking for big sound. I want some small performance gains and a sound that is close to stock yet perhaps mor beefy. I do not want to hear my exhaust over everythin else. Wife goes in, son goes in, wife drives it etc. I kinda like a family guy now and do not really care if I am the loudest on the road.

I have heard the TRD and the mufflers. Video's are meh quality and tough to tell. What would be the advatange of the TRD cat back over the mufflers besides the TRD tip? I have reasd that the stock pipes are not that bad which makes me lean towards the mufflers. Aero Turbine has gotten alot of love. I was looking at the 2525XL or 2525 and a resonator (ust not sure what the difference is)

Anybody have these that can chime in with some thoughts?

I like the TRD cat back too. I don't like the pricetag lol. Shiiping is mad high to get that here and the dealership is out of sight on the price. Muffler is in the 150 range + install, so say 200 bucks. If I am not going to see anything better sound/performance wise, I might have to go with the Aero Turbine 2525XL. Unless the seperate resonator really is worth it.

just go with a dynomax muffler and get a shop to cut the old muffler out/weld the new on in...factory/stock piping. alot cheaper...and essentially the same as a catback.

Why dynomax over the aero turbine?

How is the sound of the dynomax? From what I have read the 2525XL gives the same gains as the 2525 but with a close to stock sound in and out of the cab. I don't need show off my exhaust, just looking for small gains and a evened out sound.
