Well finally I am fixing my Tacoma. This morning on my way to work the o2 sensor right hear the cat blew out... Bummer. But it looks to be an easy fix. Any advice on the repair would be helpful. Only had the truck 2 weeks. But I still love it.

Never heard of that happening. Blew right out the bunghole?

Yes we do have WMMS. not as cool as it once was but it's still the buzzard. And yes it came out of the bung. It was still a little dark when I looked at it so I'm not 100% on it. But I'm thinking it might need a cat if it wasn't a rust issue. There shouldn't be that much pressure. I'll know at lunch when I go look at it.

Looked at the truck at lunch. Looks like it was a fuel air sensor not O2. Anyway. It's a bolt on sensor and the studs are still showing. So we should be golden. 2 nuts and I'm back.

My o2 sensor went out about 2 weeks ago, it's just a plug and play basically

Some of this Some of that
Are the cats clogged and making enough pressure to blow out the af sensor?? That would be something to fix

Does it look like the bolts in threaded them self? Or does it look like the nuts were never there. Run a die over those threads just incase some of the threads for stripped out. But as for replacing it it's a simple plug and play. But good luck I'm in Cleveland and the salt sucks if you don't wash under your truck regularly it won't be a fun project.

Well I climbed under the truck yesterday to get a close look at the issue. Looks like the threads are chewed up on the studs and the one stud is broke. Its not broke off completely but there is enough for me to get a nut on to snug down the sensor. Today we will be fixing it by cutting down the studs and welding some all thread and bolting it back up. Should be a quick fix and luckily my exhaust didn't fall off... like I first thought.

Today we fixed my sensor problem. Ended up not being able to get any nuts onto the threads. So we clamped down the sensor as tight as possible and tack welded it into place. 2 tack welds and it's good as new. And quiet.
