This is soooo much better. Nothing against the bracket but the stock bpv is a piece of shit. Even when you have the oem one maxed out you get something like 37% brake power to the rear wheels, with a manual bpv you can adjust the power up around 50% and actually get some rear wheel grab. And for $70 complete with adapters well worth it

haha..not sure if thats a good thing or bad..:anonymous: lol :p

yea those are way nice for sure. I plan on something like that for sure when i redo my rear setup. Although, having more braking power period for me at this point isn't a bad idea...so maybe do that before hand.

At 50% though won't they lock way to soon before the fronts??

At full power they will yes, but you actually get to dial what you want and get close to locking where the oem one is light on braking at full power. You can get a little extra rear brakes quick, just cut the lspv short and ziptie it up so it thinks you have a full load all the time

yea have thought about the zip tie method.

I'll have to play with that stuff more when i get back home.

Just the long bar thing sticking out of the lpsv, you dont even need to cut it but that way it is just up out of the way

    Edit: like this

So then it's completely gone off the axle?

Its manually set. You attach it to the frame but it is no longer dependent on something attached to the axle. Just the knob you twist to open a valve more or less.

I mean with the zip tie method. Cut it off and you can get rid of the arm on the axle?

Yep, no connection to the axle. The zip tie just holds it up so it thinks you have a full load all the time

Lol I think you are mixing the two. With the knob you completely remove the stock lpsv. If you want you can cut the arm on the lpsv and NOT buy the knob, just use the zip tie to tell it to give full rear brake bias (again full for oem is only like 37%)

Correct. If you drive on ice/snow maybe be a little careful with it on full but you should be used to slippery stuff if you live in it. On a dry surface you have zero worries about giving too much rear brake with the stock setup

With a manual, non variable proportion, if you apply too much pressure before the vehicle's mass has shifted forward, you're going to lock up the rear brakes. While it will offer better braking performance with good technique and setup, it will require more skill to take advantage of... so practice and fully understand how this changes your vehicle's dynamics.

    Look at build!
    Haha thanks!
    Taken from my build...

If you ever see the chair in person you wouldn't belive how comfy it is, its way more comfy than the chair without the toilet seat believe it or not.. best thing is to park it at a nice scenic spot, shorts down, beer in hand and enjoy! [IMG] Working on a TP holder for it, right now the shovel to dig the hole doubles as the holder haha
