Check out this Craigslist post and let me know if you're interested. I'd do $350 for anyone here.

If you do decide to buy from Best Buy let me know because I've got some gift cards I might be able to make you a deal on.

Can't wait for work to end (another 3.5 hours) and then I get to go to cadaver lab and transect a larynx, and then remove a vertebrae and examine the spinal cord.

School is so much better the second time around. [IMG]

Can anyone think of a place close to foco to ride ATVs that would be open right now. Was thinking about Lyons but if there is anything closer to the foco area that people know of that would be great.

Only area I'm aware of is the upper half of 7-mile trail off Manhattan road, most likely covered in snow as well but probably rideable.

Pingree Park road is currently open, not sure if ATV traffic is actually allowed on that one though.

Everything else is closed until after runoff and flood mitigation.

Very tempting. You're making this a difficult decision:p

I'm still thinking of the chrome book. Really want something bigger than a cell phone/tablet but smaller than a laptop. Looking for a long battery runtime too.

Brett, you linked the Acer 720P, but honestly there's no reason to buy the touchscreen over the normal version. Chrome and it's associated apps aren't yet designed to be optimal with touch screen use, so there's really no reason to grab the 720P when the 720 will do everything you want for $80 less.
I own the Acer 720. It's a great little machine for playing on the web, email, youtube, etc. Google Docs gives you most of the basic features of Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. And there are dozens upon dozens of apps that let you do more. Just don't expect to run any Windows based software on the device.

Here's a link to the 720 at Best Buy:
    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/c720-11-6-chromebook-2gb-memory-16gb-solid-state-drive/2746011.p?id=1219077152618&skuId=2746011&st=categoryid$pcmcat244900050010&cp=1&lp=2

Oh and to answer your Celeron question, the Celeron in the Acer 720 series is the new Haswell based version which just came out a few months ago. It isn't a relic from the past, and currently beats the pants off most other small/efficient mobile processors on the market today in terms of speed and efficient power consumption. My Acer 720 routinely gets 8+ hours of battery life.

If you do go with a chromebook, take a look at the Chromecast. For $35 it lets you broadcast anything from a chromebook to your TV over wireless. Nice for watching Netflix or Youtube on the big screen, or for just viewing the forum large scale.

Thanks Will, I did look at the 720 first, what caught my attention was the 16 vs 32 GB. Not sure if it was actually the case but the 720p seemed to run faster, of course this is playing with the display version so who knows what's been done to them. I'll take a look at those links later today, appreciate the info!

My club, the Mountaineers, maintains that road. We also handle Kelly Flats, Green Ridge, and a few others that escape me for the moment.

And we are planning a camp out/cleanup in the next couple months to reopen it. Not sure how it's going to play out, I have hiked it since the flooding and it really wasn't that bad, imo, looked to be more fun :D
I'll let you know when the cleanup is scheduled if you want to go along. It's a good time, you don't have to say the night but we do like to party. Last year there was an unlimited supply of Jello shots for the weekend...
