Anyone on here from Kelowna??

Possibly 8? Drew found a trail just across the bridge we were gonna try out. I heard bata is pretty deep/rutted out right now too.

 

How's the snow up there? I'm not running great tires currently. New shoes come spring, suffering till then.

 

If you aired down a bit and follow you should be fine as long as your tires aren't bald.

 

Im in, just got my truck ready for the trails. Just waiting on a location and confirmed time to meet up! And wouldnt you rather see it in person instead of nasty pictures i need some proper wheelin photos instead of garage pics but here ya go.

Couple weeks ago i went with Brady and his friends, i had winter street tires on and just followed everyone. didnt have a problem but i didnt play in the deep snow either.

 

Ok everyone, Im hoping it doesn't snow overnight or early morning because that means I will be working.

Im gonna wake up around 7am and have a look outside and see what the weather is doing.

Im really hope it works out that at least a few of us can meet and have a fun drive.

How about we all plan to meet up at the Tim Hortons on the corner of spall and the highway 8am?

Im sorry I'm not sure what conditions will be like but we are going to plan on doing Mcdougall FSR in west Kelowna working our way toward haymen Lake.
About 13.5 km one way.

anyone interested can PM me here tonight or just show up at 8am at the meet up location. If I am unable to make it I will leave a message on here in the morning around 7am.

Once winter is over I will be able to do more trail runs and like to get more groups of us together.

we had a great time, but we got into some really deep snow. good tires definitely were a must. Next time!

Snow got pretty deep through the clearings.





Turning around I got a little caught on a fallen tree and my bumper didn't really like that. Clipped back in and all was good but I think its time for a plate bumper

Looks like a blast was had, that kinda snow was was I was afraid of with my street winters.

 

Ive found that winter street driving this year is really tame. there hasnt been any real ice or build up of packed snow so the difference between my MTs and snow tires hasnt really bothered me. i dont plan on going down to the coast again til the summer if that either. That being said, it seems like it hasnt stopped snowing since yesterday night haha.

When and what tires are you picking up for the spring?? if you run duratraks you can run them all year

 

Yeh I'm probably going duratracs but I travel the passes quite regulary so I prefer keeping studs in winter. I'm just waiting on my 3" ome kit and new shrockworks bumper to be delivered in nxt couple weeks then i will size it for new tires

! Nice run guys, I went out today and got SHUT down up in kettle valley, Over a foot of snow, and too steep. Wish I coulda come out.... perhaps next time

 

Oh, forgot to mention, I am looking for a set of OME #886 springs. I currently have #885's, and I just put my plate bumper on. Too much weight for those springs. If anyone is going to be upgrading their suspension to OME, and do not need the #886 springs, I'd be willing to give you my springs, and pay for yours!

Or if someone is ordering an OME kit, and we can combine shipping, that'd be cool too!

New bumper? what bumper? pics? i feel like im one of the only tacos runnin armor around here! though i have seen a white taco with a plate front and rear from time to time. seems he/she lives in kelowna and works in vernon.
