What carry handles can be used with the PTAC uppers? I bought one but it is way too low, barrel is visibly pointing down and there's not enough adjustability in the carry handle to make up for it. The carry handle I bought was a Barska.

Had a few extra minutes today so I tried upgrading my lower. I have a cheap $30 PSA LPK in there now but wanted to swap it out for a RRA trigger (I have the whole RRA LPK but was only going to transfer the trigger). The RRA disconnect wouldn't go into the trigger, they'd have to be sanded or re-machined to fit. FML, ran out of time, now the lower has no trigger because I already took the PSA one out.

I've never heard of this before. That's weird I would contact them and see if they can send you new trigger parts.

I bought the kit through a local place and that's exactly what he said. He told me he's sold countless numbers of their kits and never heard of this issue. I contacted RRA on the phone, e-mailed them a few pictures and they're going to send me some new parts. I have nothing bad to say about RRA, just like any other company, they're bound to have a handful of issues. Just bad luck I suppose.

Yeah man most companies are good with that stuff. I contacted DRD when I panic bought their lower and it was so far out of spec, and they said to send it back and they'll send me a gen 2 version I was like rad! Needless to say I haven't done it yet lmao. And this is like almost a year ago now.

The bug has bitten again.. just threw together another lower tonight.... now to decide what type of upper. I'm thinking a 7.62x39 piston upper... but I've got time to decide.

But I may go for a long range setup 556

Ok guys, I have 2 challenges for you you.

Can anyone identify this upper from the mark?

    bugyzepa_8d0be87b23037d18f6497a062619b46a7259b746.jpg

And for those of you who do some long range, this is a stainless bull barrel that was on the above upper, we are trying to figure out who makes it, the pictured marks are the only markings. Does anyone know which companies mark their barrels like this?

    a2yvyzu5_c26582b9de32eaf725c2b5be9eccff39033be80d.jpg

There was a mid west industries 16 " (I think that was be length) quad rail on it as well it was a silvery color, don't really know how to describe it.

not chipped, just a chip in the paint, the upper looks like it was bought in the white and they used krylon to paint it

yep, I know 264 LBC is a les baer round, it is interchangeable (nearly identical) with the 6.5 grendel. I would assume that les baer wouldn't stamp 6.5g on it (wouldn't put grendel on a les baer like winchester and marlin with 30-30), I can't figure out who stamps their barels like that though, I know it isn't alexander arms or les baer for the reason stated

not a clue why, but it is definitely painted. I am debating it for my next build actually, would work great since my next build is getting cerakote I think

Cerakote is good, but I'm probably just going to make a light budget build and and use spray paint because I like the distressed look.
