Looking good! You're gonna love the 10TW3. I was blown away by how strong and deep it is. (is that what she said?)

Thanks! I'm looking forward to getting it all in.

I have one question that no one seems willing to answer in another thread.

The Vais shark fin adapter for the Sirius XM antenna seems to work perfectly in the pre 2012 trucks, I am hoping to learn that it works well in the 2012+ trucks...

I guess I will find out today, if the connection isn't there, the installation will be a little difficult!

I'm pretty sure I figured out the Sirius XM antenna plug "CHANGE"...

    IMG_1231_zps1450335b_13f791a5bcd58ecd5937539796b0e80304fd8cf8.jpg

Looks like the plug allows for the HD Radio wire, the Sirius XM wire and the Nav wire (missing on mine).

Looks like there will be no easy adaption to use the stock shark fin Antenna.

Off to research how to remove the headliner and the third brake light to install the Sirius XM antenna that came with the SCC1...

This is taking longer than I thought...

I installed the Sirius Antenna directly behind the shark fin and ran the cord through the 3rd brake light:

    IMG_1235_zps47d9fce4_63eacf39d2276617e1ff147f855f4b5b9fc9b16b.jpg

I ran the cable under the Headliner and under the rubber door seal around to the driver's side of the dash:

Took all the doors apart and started sound deadening:

What an amazing difference the Stinger Roadkill makes! The door sounds and feels very solid!

Finished both of the front doors. I used the Taco Tunes adapters and they were perfect. They even came with bolts that worked perfectly, but it looks like the ones for the rear doors are wrong so I will be headed up to Ace tomorrow for 6 more. The JL C5s are coming along, I hope to finish installing the Stinger Roadkill and start on the rear speakers tomorrow.

Finished the back doors today and hooked up the crossovers under the seats. I will be installing the amp and the sub tomorrow and hopefully finishing the HU install.

Looking good. Any reason why you didn't want to remove the plastic and deaden the inner-door skin?

Look closely, that picture is after I put the plastic back. I did the entire door skin and much of the inner door that you can't see.

Got a little more done today.

I needed a place to mount the fuse. So, I used the available threaded holes behind the under hood fuse box. I used a piece of black cutting board that I found at Ross. It worked perfect.

The amp install kit came with a grommet that is perfect for the existing unused hole in the firewall that is almost behind the brake booster.

Next I started working on the amp accessories. Here is the sub level control.

    IMG_1266_zpsa1afa8fa_7a953546d058d5cb6a9a8101e5e906e9858c9d3b.jpg

Here is where I stopped for the night.

    IMG_1267_zpsdcebbe8e_7c3b38cc76bd742aa62000f3288d7933ecebec32.jpg

I realized at this point that I still had to run the amp trigger wire and decided that I would do that tomorrow night. I think that is the last thing that I need to run from the HU, so I should be pretty close to finished.

Looking good! I agree with Ike3000...why didn't you remove the clear plastic and cover the holes with Roadkill? Covering the holes will have more impact on the sound than the outer skin.

As an option, I installed my JL Audio sub control in one of the inserts (and painted the indent):

The level control looks good there! I also like the painted indent also. I may go back and do more deadening on the doors...

It took a little afro-engineering getting the control in the insert, but with a Dremel and patience it worked. I was a little leery cutting any of the panels. If I f'd up the insert, I could at least get another part.

I think you'll be extremely happy covering the holes to 'seal' the doors. You've done the bulk of the work deadening the outer skins - this took me alot of time too. As an added 'bonus', you may want to finish off the doors with Ensolite (self-adhesive) from Raamaudio (or others). I did quite a bit of research on this where the forum members seem to swear by this.

Well, everything is complete, for now. Once I get a plan together on how I'm going to get the back-up camera functional, I will pull it apart again.
