I'm going to be going out to the Medford area to visit family in June. I was wondering what trails are out in that area? Also what are some spots that I should go take a look at?

Haha was browsing through the PNW threads and found this. I'm from Medford Rich.

Not much out there. If anywhere it would be more to the coast (dunes)

Yeah that's where I'm heading. That's awesome! Rogue river is fun. Try and go on the hell gate jet boat excursions.

Sweet I will look it up. It's a bummer that there are no good trails. What did you do there to pass the time?

There's a place called Johns peak, mainly just dirt roads and some crazy rock crawler dead ends. Still fun if you want need your fix for wheelin. You can also go explore some of the dirt roads out in the applegate/ siskyou mountain area.

When I lived there I did a lot of mountain biking., there's tons of awesome hiking trails everywhere in Oregon. You should definitely make it over to the Oregon coast, definitely a lot different than other types of Pacific beaches.

    Sorry for the late response.

From here to Medford, About 10-13 hours depending how fast your going and how many pit stops you make.

Medford to the Coast ~ 2 hours

Medford to Johns Peak & Applegate lake ~ 45 min

PM me when you come to Medford and I'll see if I can show you around. Some beautiful views to see. There are enough off roading places around here if you know where to look.

Very gun friendly. I live about 3 minutes from a public range and there are plenty of places to shoot in the mountains.
