It's more for video but it does have certain things for photo. It's not crazy huge, like if you have an 8gb card taking photos and no video you'll be fine.

    Too long to list :D
Between work and errands I didn't get a chance to try out some HDR's yet, but last night I was messing around with video. Pretty cool I can do video with my old 50 now :D

    Found it.

Not available in Aperture or Shutter Priority mode... only available in Manual.
    O'RLY?

From my Nest thermostat.... Red is furnace active, blue is AC compressor active.

P is a good compromise option.
It is fully auto on metering, but allows you to manually lock in the ISO, AF area mode, and metering area.

In auto, all of those are controlled by the camera. You can switch between auto and manual focus, but the focus area locks into "auto".

I'd like if more cameras went back to old school with no PASM dial at all ha. Just an aperture ring on the lens, and ISO and SS dial on the body, along with exposure comp and on each dial an Auto setting. Want it in Program, set everything to Auto, Aperture priority, set your aperture to whatever, etc. I don't get the PASM dial but I'm sure it serves a purpose for those who are more than hobbyists like myself. I just like my film camera systems so much I wish it were on my digital ones. I shoot A-priority a lot, so I just crank the aperture setting to what I want and done. Same for shutter speed. The PASM dial just makes it two steps for me but I'm sure there's a reason for it.

Sweet man! loving it so far

When you go to format in the menus just like normal, you have the option to either format and keep ML or Format and Delete ML. I have already tried it and it works good. But if you accidentally screw it up, then yes it should go back to just normal.

    Wow..that is sweet!

    Oh your a CA dude...ha

well i still wouldn't be that worried, but if you are, then you should stack photos instead

Ya, my ancestors were smart, came directly from England to Southern California 4 generations ago.
Mom's family came here from Illinois during the depression. Guess they couldn't afford heat :D

Sorry, I thought you knew it was in manual only. If you're doing long exposures like that there isn't any way for the camera to figure out exposure because it doesn't know how long you're going to have the shutter open.

Cool location. Nice framing and composition. Never really been a fan of the blown out HDRs, but to each their own.

Just installed ML. First thing I took a picture of that was close to me. 5 Bracketed HDR with EV increment of 2.ML.jpg

    So far I like it.

My only gripe with it, is that it doesn't take the pictures as fast as the Canon Bracketing does. That was 5 frames hand shot indoors. Good thing I can hold my breath really well. :p

Thanks. This was the first one I edited, after I put it on flickr I thought I might have overdone it. Photomatix can get a little aggressive.
Also made a couple hundred bucks selling some prints today, so LR is being bought tonight. :D

I won a local facebook contest last month, and a few of the people from there ordered a print. A couple people I work with bought some. My aunts boss bought one for their office. I also sold an electronic copy to the local convention and visitors authority to use for advertising.
