    My installation directions said approximately 6 hrs for qualified tech...so they honored the 6, even though it took about 9 hrs....$600 total for install last summer.

    I was able to get them down to the standard $75/hr rate from the initial quote of $100/hr but they won't budge off of 10.5 hrs for install. That brought the install cost down to $787.

    Thanks for all of your posts they helped.

    The S/C is gonna be installed on Tues, can't wait.

    Yea, its no fun at the pump, but I have a feeling it'll take a few days for the smile to leave my face every time I pass someone one the interstate while towing my boat or camper, not to mention the fun I will have offroading.

    Speaking of boost, I think I'm going to get the CravenSpeed FlexPod gauge mount for boost and afr gauges, the only thing I am hesitant about is how much they block being able to see the tach and speedo? I've read a lot of threads about it but never have found anything answering that.

    If your not running it hard there is not much effect on MPG's. I was running it hard for a tank and got ~15 mpg. For the other fill ups it has been between 16 and 17 and this is still enjoying the SC but not going nuts with it. Very close to what I got without it!

    Pulled the trigger. Ordered the kit from my dealer today. Should be in by Wednesday. Hoping for a Thurs. or Fri install date.:kona:

    $5500 OTD.

    I COULD'VE saved a few hundred by ordering from Sparks and DRIVING to Phoenix to have Earnhardt install it at the $443 price. But, I didn't confirm that they'd do the install for that. It's my local dealer who's minutes away. The parts guy 'claimed' that if you don't buy the kit for an actual Toyota dealer you don't get the full warranty, only the 12 months parts warranty. Didn't confirm if this was true or not. Regardless it was worth the extra couple hundred to not have to drive to Phoenix and I get to hold them accountable for any issues not "I had this installed at a Phoenix dealer and bought the kit online and..."

    My calculations did NOT include the money NOT saved for my time and any possible incidentals I'd need on my trip. I'm ASSuming I could stay w/ friends for free and I need to eat whether I'm in Denver or Arizona so that was also not included in my costs for the internet/Phoenix calculations.

    Works for me. I'm not broke and a few hundos doesn't hurt my bottom line. And what's the cost of convenience? Your's my be less valuable than mine and worth the extra effort and time to save that money.

    Now the waiting begins.:popcorn:

    Parts = $4450
    Install = $1000

    That's to be expected. Once the giggles wear off, you should be content keeping it under 2000 RPMs and see it go up.

    What' the before and after like besides MPGs? :D

    The ECM needs to 'learn' for awhile as well.

    I only had 500 miles on it when I had the supercharger installed. I have no idea what the MPG's were prior to.

    I meant felt power. Seat of the pants.

    I've been intentionally driving mine as much as possible for two reasons.

    1. Get as much regular gas out and as much premium in.

    2. I'd like to get to 750-1000 miles on the motor. Not sure if there's any advantage to slightly breaking in the motor or not. I don't think it will hurt. Maybe just an excuse to drive it. :D I've also noticed the engine 'loosening' up a bit.

    I've "heard" that it takes 1,000 miles or so for the ECM to relearn. Maybe it's just a way to ease the engine into boost for when they are installed on low mileage/no mileage engines. The Shelby Mustang as a series of steps to 'turn on' the SC. It won't even 'unlock' until 50 miles. I guess to keep the lot monkeys from abusing them. :)

    Tuesday can't come soon enough. :bananadance:

    The butt dyno is impressed with the gains.
    There is this spot, when I take off a certain way, that it hits good and the RPM's shoot up and it just MOVES..!! That and the whine....together, they are wonderful....hahaha:eek:

    That's a great price. Best price I was quoted is $650 and they will match any internet price for the blower.

    15-16mpg is pretty typical with the SC especially around town or on the hwy at 70+ mph.

    Unless you REALLY baby it but then why did you get the SC.
