    Hello everyone!

I am located in Southern California - Ventura County area. (Camarillo mainly)

I have recently been doing quite a few different mods to my 02 taco all of which I enlisted the help of my godfather who was a heavy-duty mechanic for like 30 years.

I recently snagged an awesome deal on a TRD blower for my 5VZ-FE

I have been soliciting quotes from the local dealerships for installing it but I want to be part of the install... (dealerships are quoting around $1,100 and want to keep my truck for 4 days or so... not sure if that is decent pricing or not for this)

My godfather doesn't have much experience working on toyotas although I do have the install instructions and he offered to do it with me. I am trying to find out if there is someone in my area on this forum who is savvy with working on toyotas and would like to help or make a few extra bucks helping me do this. Or possibly if someone knows a cool shop semi-close that has this kind of experience who can do it quickly or wouldn't mind letting me help on the install.

I am also going to be installing a new fuel pump and bigger injectors (kit from URD) at the same time.

I guess I am looking for sugggestions or to see if anyone knows someone or a shop in the area.

    Any input is much appreciated!

Its not a hard instal. Take it step by step, and dont go ahead of the instructions, and you should be fine. All your gonna do is take some stuff off, and replace them with the SC. ;)

so it would be like 1 full days project or more?... considering the fact that I have an actual mechanic with me.

I disagree! If you are not mechanically inclined this is not a do-it-yourself job, I've installed 3 myself at work and it ended up taking at least a day and a half. This is something you need a tech to install and while I understand you wanting to be hands on no shop will let you participate (liability issues) and if someone does your more likely to hinder the progress than help.

Ok....You may be right...If your NOT mechanically inclined. 1.5 days for the install??? What issues did you run into? The longset it ever took me was about 8 hours, but that was due to the belt being the wrong size.

ok - have you ever done the new fuel pump and larger injectors? if so: how is that install? URD says it comes w/ instructions as well.
