Show me your HID cutoff in stock housing!

I’ve seen a lot of talk about the cutoff of HID, LED, and Halogen. I cant find a nice photo of a HID in stock housing for comparison to LED and Halogen. Let’s put them all in one thread! Include some notes about the bulb/ballast/company/etc.

I agree, retrofit is the way to go. Hopefully this will show that.

You do know thats an FX-R setup and not stock housings right?

 

here is a side by side of a factory light (left) and new LED (right)
not super happy about it. going to go back to stock till i figure out if i want to retrofit.

 

I assume the third (last) image was stock, or am I wrong? The first two look fantastic.

 

Seems to me that the LEDs scatter the light as well. I'd still like to see HID's in stock housing as "proof" of the scatter. To be clear, I do not condone HID's in stock housing, I just want to see how bad the cutoff really is. Oncoming drivers should not be subject to the following:

 

they dont really have a cut off...its just bright light scattering everywhere.

also the last pic from above with the retrofit was with his high beams on, not hids in the stock housing

Yeah its pretty terrible, guy has no idea what he is talking about. At first he says HID low beams, then at the end he claims high beam and low beam even though its only going to have low beams with that kind of setup.

 

They do offer an HID setup that moves the bulb in and out to emulate the change from high beam filament to low beam filament..my buddy used to have it on his bike.
