    I don't! Last time I welded rock rings on was years ago and I remember it being very messy. If I had the time and a bigger welder, I'd setup a motor driven lazy susan and a robot arm for my MIG torch and let her rip :D

    I am in the process of building one right now. Gonna adapt it with a drive wheel so I can use it on one setup for driveshafts/links and another for stiff like wheels.

    I am using a nice 6rpm 120v motor from the turntable from the microwave that crapped out here at the office :D

    I agree half my fab shit i wouldnt have if it wasnt for my dad. Then again half his fab shit he woulnt have if it wasnt for me:D. Like the lift and the Miller mig with spool gun, the plazma cutter. but the 1" drill press, the lathe, the licon stick/tig welder, and the generator welder are all on his own.
    Edit: those are just the big ticket items we have lost of the little pidly stuff too.

    Hefty! I think I'm going with 2.25" OD x .375 wall for mine. Increasing the OD really helps a lot more with strength than increasing wall thickness. I want my lower links to be the last thing I worry about :D

    Deal at twice the price :D I was price checking 2.25" DOM on onlinemetals.com and they are charging $37/ft for it :eek: Got a quote from a friends shop near me and he said $15/ft. SOLD!

    shop near me was just offering 1.75 at 5.75 a foot I'm sure 2" would have only been like 6.00 a foot
