It's important to note a punctured exhaust pipe doesn't leave you stranded, while a snagged wire to the transfer case or cut brake line is more serious.

Close up of the interior bits. Material quality isn't all that good, esp on the rotary knobs. Wonder if this is production-representative.

We get it dude, you don't like anything but Toyota.

The taco's interior quality isn't all that great either, especially when you consider the price.

What makes you think the Colorado is going to be cheaper?

Beautiful truck, now to see if it is reliable. My nephew owned a pervious late model, the ride was terrible and sounded like everything was coming loose on it.

    Looks aren't everything.....

    It'll probably be close.

And when you compare the mechanics of it, the Toyota is vastly behind the Colorado. The Tacoma is a decade old.

Just saw them at the Cleveland auto show. Both had the baby duramax in it. Well the bad part is they were up on those stupid stands that spin and the super sexy girl goes on and on about safety bullshit. They wouldn't let you sit in them or open the hood or anything. The Colorado looks pretty stupid in person. The front of a car with the back of a truck. The inside is exactly like the silverado. Now the canyon does look pretty good. It had the all terrain package with bfg Ats. Not a bad truck but I'm sure the price will be crazy. A 2500hd duramax Denali is 66k so I'm sure the canyon will easily be 50k

this is hilarious....tacoma owners taking hits at another trucks interior "quality"

really? #1 on my list of things i hate about my tacoma is the incredibly shitty interior and quality of materials..its offensive how much they charge for this truck and put that interior on it.

don't get me started on the fact that it took until f ing 2013 to even offer a leather looking seat!!! i had to go buy my own godam leather/weather proof seat covers for my truck so that my seats wouldn't look like a dirty dog attacked it after only 2 camping outings. Utter lack of respect for the costumers, toyota knew full well they owned the market and threw in its lowest form available at us.

suddenly! after word of GM making their global mid size truck avail to the US they start offering leather seats, heaters, baja editions, chrome packages....nice :p

^ just as you just expressed yours, everyone is entitled to their opinion

That being said, you bought your truck voluntarily. Go complain somewhere else.

It's all relative. Tacoma has a better interior than the Frontier and the outgoing Colorado, Ranger and Dakota.

What are costumers? Are they akin to Larper's?

One of the main reasons I bought a 4Runner and selling 13 Tacoma is the lack of refinement and quality materials. The drivers door weatherstripping had started to rub and make an impression on the bottom door sill. Come on guys! The plastic clips won't stay on that hold the front mud flaps on. My seats are already showing a good amount of wear on the bolsters. I know this may all sound pitty to some guys on here, but for the amount of money these costs I feel my money was better spent on a 4Runner. It's just a cumulation of so many misc things. Believe me, I am not anti/Toyota.
