Alright guys, living in florida it can get pretty hot down here so i'm looking to get my windows tinted.

    Now here are my questions:
    1. how dark do you think is dark enough to where.
    a. I don't have to roll my windows down at night to see
    b. It will keep the car cool
    c. i will have some privacy
    d. I won't get pulled over because it looks too dark

I know this may be asking alot out of a simple tint job, but is it possible, is there that magical level of tint where all my wishes will come true haha.

thanks guys for any help

Just tint it the most that is legal down there. I'm sure you will be able to see out if it is considered legal.

I'd go 20%. It matches the rear perfectly and it's visible at night.

In Hawaii the tint has to be 35% up front, but my back are 20% and you can totally see at night

I run 18% rear and 70% front on the Mazda and it's a great combination.

If you can go darker I would say 50% up front. The 70% is basically a UV protector but you can definitely feel the difference on the steering wheel.

In my friends double cab, he has 5% all around rear windows and front windows, and on the windshield he was it tinted 50%. Talk about not being able to see at night.

I matched mine in the front to the back windows, ~23% and I don't get undesired 'attention'

Got 20% on the fronts to match the backs and get a sun shade for the front window when you are parked.

Go darker and it will be harder to see and may get the attention for being illegal...I haven't had trouble with either of those and the truck stays a bit cooler...It'll still get warm in there no matter what you do...but it's no where near as bad.

^ I agree.....I went 20% up front and it matches perfectly. Noticeably cooler in my truck when I'm driving around :)

Roughly- getting the right tint color helps too. Cause its like a charcoal-ish color and I've seen some that got weird colors of front tint and it looks like ass.

alright, i have the sliding window in the rear and i think the guy may have not tinted it or the parts on the side. my reasoning is, is that with polarized sunglasses on, when i look through my rear view mirror and i look at the rail on the tailgate, it almost looks brown through the center window but on the sides there is no weird color.

    Any ideas?

I went 20 all the way around. I put 20 on the back and rear over the privacy glass to and its real dark. But the 20 on the front is perfect. Light enough to see out of, but it still gives you plenty of privacy. The most people can see of you is an outline, unless the sun is coming right through the windshield. Then the whole cab is pretty bright obviously.

I went legal in Florida with 30 up front pass/driv windows and 15 over privacy glass in rear from factory. Any darker and night driving is a challange I am sure.
