Took my new 265's in some sand. While I was at it I snapped off my antenna on a tree limb. Like it better without, but my radio doesn't work now. I don't know what to do. Any ideas?

    Haha :)

I just feel like it should be the same color as the rest of the truck. Gonna make it happen.

Toyota all weather floor mats. Mag light that clunks around in the jack compartment. Dog hair. Dog drool on the windows.
Today I had my oil changed, and tires rotated. figured it needed it, since the last oil change was 8,000 miles, and 13 months ago....
Oh, But I bought an OEM filter from the dealership, To see if it made a difference with the knocking at startup on cold days. Yes, the oil level was fine.

Well traveled Taco. Bought Brand new in Sep 07 in Vilseck, Germany. Shipped to Hawaii in 2010. Then off to El Paso May 13. She sat idle pretty much all of 09, (Afghanistan). Then 3 years on a island that is 88 miles across. Long story short, I just broke 50,000 miles today. Shooting for 400,000.

I just got my new wheels on!! I was worried that they would be too wide (9"0) but I'm happy with the results. Wheels are Pro Comp 7036 (4.75" back space, -6mm offset). Tires 265X70X17 Nitto Trail Grapplers. I will prob go to 285 when I'm ready for new tires. So far I have lifted 2 1/4" up front, 1" rear (about to put a 1/4" spacer on drivers side), custom grill, URD cold air intake, skid plate, tinted windows. I'm wavering on wanting to lift it just a little more but not sure if it will leave too much space in fender wells. What do you guys think lift more or no? Some of your guys pictures look really good. I need to search the forum and find a good angle to take pics. I love this site!! So much useful info in here!! Thank you TW!!

I washed, waxed and de-badged er big-time today. Its amazing how much better it looks without those big-ars chrome pasti-craps.

I hit the zone while de-badging... I am getting ride of that plasti-crap-non~smooth-front-bumper. That is job-one. I will replace it with a smooth bumper that matches the rest of the truck (smooth and color matched). Then, I will tint the windows. Once those 2 things are done, I will focus on wheels and tires.

Debadging was more difficult than some of the other manufacturers. I took pictures and will do a step-by-step if anyone wants to see it. De-badging is nothing new, but the Toyota stuff was to me (and stubborn) ... will post up some info/pics if there is interest.

Closing comments... the finish on the Toyota paint seems darn decent.

Thanks! Yes I did take the emblems/badges off and sprayed them flat black. Removing them took a little time. Hairdryer and fishing line, lots of fishing line. Maybe the fishing line i have is old and brittle but it kept breaking about every other letter.

There are ways of doing it without taking them off at all.

    Found a dent.... ( ,_,)

Technically probably more of a ding, but still not happy. Think it's from a tree branch that some strong winds knocked down.

Failed at removing door handles for a color match swap...those bastards are hard to remove without any knowledge. Getting the door panels off is easy, but the door handles are in an enclosed space in the door molding and you need small hands for sure. Of course scouring the net for info on it revealed nothing! Plenty of door handle removal videos for a lot of other vehicles, but not the Tacoma. Might have to take this project to a body shop...

I've swapped mine out and may have taken pictures of the process. I'll try to locate those pictures. The fronts are pretty easy but the rears are a little more tricky.
