I'll definitely be following this. I'm interested in seeing how those OME springs work out for you. I'm still tossing up ideas on the lift for mine.

Those are just some powerlines and rock quarries that we ride in sometime just to break up the monotony.

I will have tires this week. I found a used one that had never touched the ground so I swept it up for about $80 cheaper than new. I'm about to buy the other three as soon as my taxes come in. They're 33x10.5 BFG A/Ts

Blew my freakin headgasket today. I'm just gonna replace all the leaky seals and wait to actually do a full rebuild after I finish my suspension.

Yeah just old.. It doesn't look to have ever been opened up before but I haven't tore into much at all.. I changed the valve cover here while back and couldn't find any markings on the cam lobes or anything like that.. I should be changing it Tuesday. My brother and I have fixed a bajillion 22r series motor so we should knock it out in an hour or two

    Dwill817,

I found a few threads you might be interested in. I, like you, have been trying to find people that have used OME springs as a lift. I'm not sure if you're still trying to go that route, but I found someone who used 79-83 OME rears up front with high steer and loved it.

I've also been looking for someone who has used 51" rears off later model pickups in the rear of a 1st gen. In the second link, there is only one person who said his friend used 51" springs F/R and said he liked them. That was enough convincing for me. I went ahead and ordered OME 47" and 51" two inch lift springs for mine. So I'll let you know how it turns out.

That MarlinCrawler thread is where I got my info about the 51" rear springs.

BUT I rode in a truck like mine today that was 3-linked up front and 4-link in the rear. I may just have to drive it stock for awhile and go links when I graduate next year. We talked for several hours and he's been through every setup out there and has wasted tons of money to get where he's at. Links+coilovers=heaven!

Just realize I never updated, but I got the truck back together and running pretty good. Gonna readjust the valves one day this week, but she's doing fine.

We had to leave it and come back today. It's in a bad spot. I'll get some better pics today. My camera was dead yesterday.
