supposedly, these folks are pretty quick. there was one other offer on the place, but it was rejected. We're only going about 10k below asking, so i would assume that they'll come back asking for a couple more grand, and we'll probably jsut take it at that point.

let me beef up the slide first......

Yeah the house I am trying to get has been on the market for 21 days now, its supposed to smoothly now tho since im approved and I should be able to move in april 3rd. I offered a few grand above asking price but also asked for them to cover over all closing so in reality I offered about 4 grand below asking.

Will you still have a garage to still be able to fab things up?

All of my offers were responded to withing a few hours, and some were literally a few minutes! Get it as cheap as you can!! Every little bit you can get off the asking price will save you THOUSANDS in the long run with interest. I came in at 10k below asking price and asked for 4k in closing costs and after some negotiating we agreed on 7k under asking price then the appraisal came back 1500 below that so they had to come down to 8.5k below asking and are still covering 4k in closing costs and including a $470 1 year home warranty

these people are quick, both on the bank side, and the homeowner side! just heard back, and we got the place!!!!!!

for the size/quality/surroundings, we got a killer deal. everything else on the market was older, in worse condition, crappier lot, and more expensive.

and of course i'll have a garage to work in, Eric. renting is one thing, but if i'm buying a house, i'm getting a garage :)

I also own a 10ft by 20ft portable car port. may set that up in the back yard to keep the trailer in, or move it out into the driveway for some covered area on mod days :D

We'll want to do more than tapping the holes. That would be far too weak. Best options are an actual nut on the inside of the roof skin. Whether it's welded in, or welded to a small backing plate doesn't really make a difference. Other option is a riv-nut. Toyota sort of uses a combination of the two on the double cabs.

Bring the boat with you tomorrow. We can go run it at Discovery Green, as long as it's an electric that is.

it's electric. i'll bring it tomorrow

Helion Lagos. it was between that and the pro boat equivalent. I liked the platform of the hellion a little better. it seemed lit an easier boat to fit with a brushless than the pro boat. plus, the self righting is a big plus. pro boat may have that feature, but I couldn't find it listed on the box.
