Alright guys, ive gained basically all my Tacoma knowledge from TW. So I gotta thank you guys for being so helpful. But I don't quit understand wheel offset and backspacing. Im in the army, 31B (Military Police) and as you know, don't make a lot so, Im saving up all my money to put a procomp 6 inch lift, 35x12.5x20 nitto trail grapplers, and xd795 hoss wheels. Im actually pretty close to being able to get everything. Now im having trouble figuring out what offset I should have and what backspace would be the best. I have a picture of what im aiming for so could someone please help me and tell me what offset this is..please!!?? On 4wheelparts theres wheels with -12 18 30 20 offset and I have no clue what this is or looks like. Again im aiming for that look, what do you think that offset/backspacing is on that picture? Ive asked this question once but no seems to like newbies. Thanks you!!

WHOA!!! Hahaha! How did you do that lol. What would be the best backspacing?? on 4wheelparts for -12 offset, for backspacing theres only 4.53... do you think that would look or be okay?

Once the width of the wheel is chosen you can't have multiple BS with the same offset. They are related. So, a 9" wide wheel with an offset of -12 will be a 4.5" BS as shown in the chart I posted. There won't be other BS options with that wheel at that OS.

As far as what I think, I'm no expert but I would assume you would almost have to run the 4.5bs to fit..

My truck is a 4.5" bs but on a smaller narrower wheel and tire combo. Most guys around here run 4.5" bs.

Almost right, backspace is not an option after you choose the wheel width and offset. But yes, with the 20x9 KMC once you choose -12 as the offset your only option is 4.5" BS. Because 9" width with -12 offset IS 4.5" BS.

Also, I can't follow the link. Looks like they are having an issue with their site.

okay it was just 4wheelparts 20x9 xd795 hoss wheels. but thanks again! how much do you think all this installed would be? ive be reading around and some people have as high of $4100 and some people had as low as $2800 to install lift tires and wheels. im buying all my parts from them so maybe they'll cut me a deal.

alright.. do you know where to get these tires and wheels cheaper? I did 4wheelparts and for 4 sets of 35x12.50x20 nitto trail grapplers $1687.96 and 4 sets of XD795 Hoss 20x9 with 6 on 5.5 bolt pattern are $983.96 coming out to $2671.92 :O me being in the military, that's a lot of money!

My advice, and don't take this TOO sarcastically ... don't buy shit that's so big. What's the need for it? I'm a big fan of buying what I will use and need :D

Discount tire is good, they match the cheapest price you can find online. Lots of people like Les Schwab but I find them overpriced. Subs, no. Visit the Audio/Video forum.

If you are 2wd then you don't need a pro comp drop bracket lift. Only 4wd trucks need them to achieve 6" of lift. If you buy spindle's (give you 4" of lift) and some bilstein 5100"s you can get 6" of lift and look wayyyyy better then a pro comp I beam hanging off your truck. Hold on and I'll send you a link to a build page of a 2wd with the setup I described above.
