    Have you considered 883s? They're the same free height as the 881s but with a 90lb heavier spring rate. So they give more lift than the 881s but handle the weight of a bumper better than the 881s will.

    I have thought about the 883s but decided that the lower spring rate would better fit my needs.

    FWIW, I'm running 883s with no weight up fromt and I think it rides great. Been doing it for almost a year now with no regrets. I should be adding a plate bumper soon and that should really get them riding smooth. CV angles aren't too steep either which surprised me.

    OME is conservative in their lifting philosophy. After learning the ins and outs of an IFS, I can see why.

    I have 883/5100 and a bumper with a winch. I think it rides nice. Cv angles surprised me as well.

    Just installed today. It is night and day. I love the way it feels now. :D

    I just want to drive all night now. Haha. I knew I'd be excited, but not this excited. Hopefully I'll be able to take it out wheeling this coming weekend. :D

    I picked up a 2003 Tacoma Double Cab that I can take to the hunting lease and not worry about scratches. The truck has a bit over 100K miles I have the following options:
    Front:
    All Pro Replacement Bumper and soon a winch.
    Middle:
    All Pro Rock Sliders
    Rear:
    All Pro Replacement bumper
    Snugtop Camper

    I am pretty sure I am going to get the 882 kit from Rocky Road. But I am not 100% sure it has everything I need? The site is not very detailed.

    Looking for comfy ride over everything else since this will be used for a lot of hwy miles and then offroad to fill feeders and hunting trips.

    Also from this thread looks like I can run 285/70/17 tires. I am planning on running some 05+ Tacoma wheels.

    Any other suggestions? thx!!!

    Read some online reviews on Rocky Road first, it seems that they don't have the best customer service. It's too bad too as they are pretty close to me. I got my set up from Cruiser Outfitters, Kurt is pretty knowledgeable when it comes to OME, he can answer any questions you have on the set up. http://www.cruiseroutfitters.com/sus_Tacoma.html I would look into the D6XL (AAL) also if you plan on loading up the back. Oh, and the truck looks great, congrats on the good buy.

    I second all of his though I can't say I've actually worked with cruiser (lots of good reviews though). Since you are close to cruiser, seems like a no-brainer.

    About the d6xl aal... Get it, esp since you are running a shell. I made that mistake, and now I'm going to pull everything apart again to add...

    You can, yes.

    Folks run the 620lb eibach springs on the 5100. Included with toytec's ultimate lift package. I personally went with the full ome because the cost difference wasn't that much when factoring in a new leaf pack instead of aal. And the strut is valved for the 880, 881, 882 springs.

    Loading up? AS in how much weight? I usually will carry no more than 15 bags of corn at a time. That is 650lbs but that is once every few months? The stock is OK, but riding low right now. BTW, thanks for the replies!
