1.5" Wheel spacers all around, 2.0 fox coil over with foxes in the back to match it up, add a leaf. 285/70/r16 general grabbers. my magnaflow exhaust k&n intake just threw in some maxtrac spindles. Total chaos UPA. Bunch of other little things
I have a magnaflow on my 07 single cab. Honestly all the exhausts will sound just about the same on a lil jap rice burner 2.7 engine. Magnaflow is just the best out of all of em. Not a personal opinion just what I've read. The flow master does have a little deeper tone but I can make the same noise sounded like you were in a high gear bogging it kind of.

After running the large 22 inch MagnaFlow for over 2 months now...

...I'm totally pleased. The deep mellow sound isn't the least bit irritating and there's no cab drone. :)

you just change the muffler and weld it in the stock mufflers place? 2.5 in and 2.5 out?

    Are you automatic?

I just have the stock size with a magnaflow of course I'm just woundering do you bog out or sound like your bogging out at all? Also I just installed a K&N and when I'm about to rev out it sounds beast with my exhaust.

The muffler is 2.5 in and out, but everything was replaced from the muffler back so the tubing going into the muffler remained the existing stock metric 2 3/8" OD, and I had 2 1/4" OD tubing mandrel bent...

    I have a 5 speed manual.

My engine doesn't bog out at all because I'm also running an LCE exhaust header... ;)

nice...im trying to decide between the 18" magnaflow and just replace the stock muffler and retain the stock back end of the exhaust to the tip OR buy the complete bolt on from magnaflow

Here is mines nothing really special its an Areo Turbine 2525 non resonated. Had it since about June of 2013. At first I had it dumped before the axle which was a huge mistake it was very high pitched and the cabin drone was horrible I mean on the freeway I had to talk loud to be heard with a passenger it was louder with windows up than down. The problem is probably because of the truck being so low and the dump being close to the ground. Anyhow, I had the dump cut and had it route over the axle and out the stock location mounted the tip as high as possible to the body without touching anything running a 3.5" x 12" angle cut tip (way less drone). The exhaust is a bit bubbly doesn't bother me too much really but looking to get my LC engineering headers soon to deepen the tone throughout the exhaust band as well as have a bit of torque gain which is needed in a 2nd gear pull hahah.

I would figure welding the muffler in would be a problem keep all stock piping. Bolt on is good too but not sure if they use a larger diameter pipe. If you looking for a larger diameter pipe and they offers it Id say get the kit, but if its same size pipe I don't see the need to buy the entire kit then you gotta keep the entire stock set up somewhere

I would like to keep the stock piping and just have someone weld in a new muffler. if i gotta weld in the muffler and add more pipe then id rather just go bolt on..

Replacing the muffler while retaining your stock tubing isn't a problem. All muffler shops have a hydraulic tubing expander which is part of their hydraulic bender. The expander makes really nice smooth slip fit joints on the ends of the tubing. If the muffler is shorter, they just make a small slip fit coupling and weld everything up.

Yeah well because my mufflerwas so much smaller than the stock one they needed to fill in the gap with new pipe which isnt all that bad Istill can unbolt from behind the cats and bolt in a stock system if I ever chose to

First place I went was RAD motorsports for the dump wasn't bad
The set up no was done at ESH in town they were fast and I forget how much I spent but it was for new tubing from muffler back and a tip the service good however I wish the bends were lil better but can only do so much when my pipe has to go over my axle with a 6" drop

Guess we'll know soon enough. Went ahead and scarfed up one off autoanything for $245 after a coupla codes were applied and it was free shipping. Was $290 before promo code and additional discount for first purchase on their site. $199+ gets free shipping. That was for the reg cab 2.7 cat-back side swept exit. The muffler part is clamped on the piping so if it is annoying then I can clamp on a similar sized different muffler without having to cut up anything on the oem stuff. That way it can always go back to stock easily if need be.

Can anyone tell me where I can either buy a kit for my regular cab 2012 Tacoma or at least a good muffler that fits?
