    its even more stupid because she was "cross faded" (being drunk and high at the same time) prayers for the families

    I think I heard that the families of the deceased are going to sue the woman's family as they knew she had a drinking problem and 'should have intervened'.

    Whilst this is a terrible story, I can't see how anyone is held accountable for another adult's actions.

    When I was in college, one of the classes was law. We went to a courtroom as a class and watched the trials.
    One trial was a drunk driver, stolen car, 3rd offense, suspended license, killed another driver, and left the scene.
    Now this is about 30 yrs ago. He got 30 days.
    At the end of everything, the judge noticed our group and asked if we had any questions. One of us asked the judge why that guy got 30 days instead of life. He only said each case is assessed on an individual basis, and he has to follow the guidelines for sentencing.
    I'l love to know what the 'individual basis' was that got him such a lienient sentence.
