Dad had Legs Amputated

    I live in Iowa and my Dad is in KY. Last October, he had to have his left leg amputated. This March, he lost the right leg. I was there for the surgeries and am headed back for a visit next week. This time I will be taking my wife and 4 yr old daughter.

    Dad lost his legs due to poor circulation (peripheral arterie disease, PAD). He has been in nursing home for about a year and has had some strokes and other complications. He is only 64.

    I want my daughter to see her grandpa and vice versa. I'm a little worried about how my daughter will take it. Seeing my Dad without legs is hard for me.

    Any prayers or words of advice are appreciated.


    PS: Not ot get on a soapbox, but Dad was a 50 yr smoker. If you smoke, please consider quitting. Don't end up like Dad has.
