yea LEDs are bad.

And won't effect it as much when they are off obciously..but i did notice the more stuff i wired with the same power and ground(mostly power and a lot of the same ground) the nosier my signal got.

the most stuff you have hooked to the same ground plane the worse it will get.

so the stock wiring grounds to the cab id bet money on it for the stock fog harness. Is your CB grounded to the body? if so..there lies your issue.

Running it straight to the battery means nothing can get in its way via power or ground side.

 

Thanks for the info on the relay spots. I have an aux fuse box and I'm just trying to clean up the wiring a lot more. It seems any place close to electrical and out of the way is a good spot. When I remake my fuse block bracket I try to have it so I can put a bunch of relays on there. See how that goes.

ya this happens to when ever the HIDs are on. I have to go from no squelch to pretty much full.
That is a good idea tho about the ground straight to the battery. I'm about to get a cobra 75 to replace my crappy cb I have in there now. I'll wire it different when at goes in. Is your antenna grounded?

I'm not looking to buy one , just need some info on how it's constructed , in particular their drawer roller / caster system

 

Gotcha, they look like Accuride slides. Used a lot of those back in my cabinet building days, if I remember correctly they are rated up to 500 lbs.

 

They use no slides on the long drawers for pickups , there is a side mounted top caster at the back and some let in rollers at the front of the case and a drawer stop so it doesn't pull all the way out

my antenna grounds to my bed rack. Which i may move to different point..

 

So I ended up getting these for my table/drawer it will expand up to 32 inches. Thats still too short but I'll just bolt like a 6in length of angle iron or something

Yeah , but that's 2 different things

 

My dad has built many of those for 6 and 7 foot beds. And used them for tools. Carpenter tools. I can ask him what he used to make them tomorrow. And how to make them.
