5'11" :( Refer to wall, just above the A5 hood.

Happy to help. Honestly this setup is not ideal. Its the best I could do at 26 buying my first home solo. I would much prefer floating cabinets across half of the back wall, and have next to nothing hanging on the sidewalls. I do like my hand tools where I can easily grab them as I am constantly working in ther garage, but I would prefer most of that stuff to be hidden.

While I have you guys, is the Toytec coil/spacer/add-a-leaf still a good basic lift?

Best of both worlds is a sway-bar quick disconnect kit. It replaces the bolts with QD rods, that separate by pulling a hitch pin out. RE-connecting (especially when covered in mud) is a bit more tedious, but they do solve the problem without giving you on-road stability at speed.

Since, by the above post, I presume you're living alone, I can see how you can leave all your tools out in the open. I live with my g/f and her 22-yr old daughter, both of whom think screwdrivers make handy prybars, and wrenches are useable as hammers. So my tools are always locked in the tool chest.

I get that for sure. For the past 2 years, the g/f and our 9 year old daughter have lived with me. They are rarely in the garage, except in passing, and they know not to bother anything. It's never been an issue. My daughter is actually very careful, and loves to show such care around my things. Refer to the DIY badge removal thread in detailing for a pic of her in action:)

Lowe's has the exact pegboard and hooks. If you think you are buying enough hooks, buy twice that many. Sears should as well, but I like to take advantage of my employee discount anytime Lowe's has something I need that is not junk.

Do they sell like a kit with pegboard, hooks and hardware for mounting? Going to lowes today so I want to make sure I buy everything I need, it isn't that close to go often.

Peagboard comes in 8x4 sheets. Mine is prefinished in the gloss grey. Not sure if every location has them. They will have white and unfinished. You can paint yourself. Get plenty of mouting/wood screws.

The hooks come in packs. You can get variety packs, or packs of the same. Id recommend several variety packs, a pack of the L shaped ones, and a pack of the U hook ones. From there you can go back at some point knowing what you need to finish. If you plan to do drills, saws, stepladders etc there are specialty ones, and longer ones. Hope that helps.

So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
Check lowes on-line and make a list. Also see what is in stock at the store your are going to.

No. Mine had a couple hundred pieces. You may just order your pegs on Amazon.

Got a ladder rack started. Still have to get all the gussets and tie down points on and a few other little things.

Looks like a good start. Better tie it down to the frame as well. The bedsides aren't that strong.

This is happening. 1 3/4" .120 wall HREW with sandwich plates through the bed to the frame ought to be plenty stout to carry what it's being built for.

Sounds like you have it planned out, good deal. I've seen too many racks that are supported by the bedsides alone.

The heaviest load it will see will be in the 2-300 lb range. Still no reason to not overbuild it.
