The biggest thing for me is how ugly the undercarriage of our trucks are, with or without a lift. The lift makes it really stand out. These do a nice job of covering that, and are also pretty functional, particularly when it comes to the opposite sex.

I completely agree. I receive compliments and questions on an almost daily basis. They're a good looking, functional "skirt".

glad to see these look so good on your guys' trucks. i've heard mostly unimpressive reviews about Body Armor, usually about build quality and inconsistent fit for their bumpers. But if you only want a side step these are unique and look great. I just hope no one mistakes these as real sliders or actual off road protection, as the company and product names would like to suggest.

Honestly BA strikes me as a company that should only sell made-in-china ford truck accessories in autozones or something, but again the steps look very good on all of your trucks

The packages I've received have been labelled anywhere from 52-77 pounds.

This is my first time dealing with this company. I can only speak for this product, and it's a good one. Fit is great, and installation wasn't very challenging. Admittedly, it's oversold as to its functionality. You do NOT want to high-center your truck on these things, but that's only because of how and where the rails attach. With that said, they will protect in the event of light trial scuffing, and the rails and brackets themselves are definitely made of a sturdy material.

I also have to commend the company for not forcing their logo down people's throats. The steps come with BA 4x4 logos ready with 3M tape, so if you want to represent, you can. If not, toss em. I chose to toss em, but primarily due to my phobia of polished things on my truck. Also, the step pads, which feature the logo, are sold separately. Not many companies will do that. Finally, I've called the guys at BA 4x4 a few times, and their customer service has always been great.

This is what I was about to ask. So all of you who have these, they don't get in the way when you get out of your truck? I had some 3 inch nerf bars for a little while and grew to hate them. I loved the look but every damn time I got out of the truck I'd brush or bang my leg into them. Not a big deal when your wearing jeans and outdoor clothes but not great when you've got a good pair of pants on and don't want a line of road salt up the side of your leg.

I'm not sure when I'll have the opportunity, but I'll try to take some time to snap a couple.

Any rail that also a step is going to get in the way a bit. I'm 6'2" and don't really need the step to get into the truck. I find myself brushing against the rail every now and again, but they certainly don't stick out enough for me to bang my leg into them. I wear black slacks to work - no issues with errant marks on my pants from the rails.

Very easy bud. Look under your truck on the rail under your doors (body, not frame), you should have some plastic caps that can be removed with a flat head screw driver. They are already pre tapped (threaded) those are the mounting holes.

I'm a grease monkey so I don't have an issue with clean pants, but I'm 6' and no current lift on my truck, I do find myself banging into them with my boots. If I were dressed up, I'd be using the step to step down and not just swinging my legs around and over like I do for work.

    Just getting started
Would someone mind posting a few photos from under the truck. I would like to see how these mount. Are they strong enough for a 200 pound man to stand on while washing the roof?
