Hmm, I think I could get by with 2...The tread group buy was cheaper but there was discussion of them not being as strong. Its probably just bogus though as most are opinions from guys who never used either and the guys want to justify the $300 for a similar product.

I have read a few comparison threads, reviews and tests, and they all say none are as good as the maxxtracks. Just not as strong.

Hmm, well its basically the price of a cheap winch but there isn't any additional costs. I think I calculated everything coming out to almost $700 or so just to have a front hitch and carrier.

    yea thats about right.

And a couple traxx so you can avoid the winch. Id go snow wheeling more if i had the maxxtraxx and a pull pal.

Id would be far more comfortable with them on hand. The other night when I almost got stuck a few times was just lack of traction. Really, a shovel and maxxtraxx would probably always get me home...

yea snow wheeling would be much more enticing with trax.... I'll probably hold off on them really since I just got a winch and a bunch of other shit.

Yea cause snow wheeling is fun. if you can get out haha like that trip i did was fun in a lot of ways. Just the challenge of moving up a simple road not even like 5 miles took almost 4 hours. Was a fun challenge. But when it was looking like we were going to get a couple trucks out..it wasn't so fun..haha

Yeah, if I had a winch I would just put that money into an anchor . It would be nice though just for the speed of recovery.

Haha that's one thing I hated. Jeff has steel cable too. Froze my hands dragging the line out through the snow.
