What dealership did you go to? Was it difficult to have one ordered? Or did they really try to push you into something that was sitting on their lot?

2 dealers. The 1st was pushy and defensive but the experience gained there and the professionalism of the 2nd dealer made it easy to get to the nut of it...and that simply was there doesn't exist what I want so lets get it built.
By the way I knew before walking into the 1st dealer I needed to order.

I ordered from Hoffman Toyota in W.Simsbury Ct.

Got a call this morning from the dealer...My Tacoma is being built today and shipped possibly tomorrow or Thursday!!!

If the salesman wasn't blowing smoke, he said 5 days by train from TX to CT, I could mutha-trucking hopefully take delivery early next week!!!!

I wouldn't expect sooner than Tuesday because CT DMV is closed Monday's.
I hope no later than Friday next week.

Oh man the anticipation was bad yesterday!
I remember this same excitement when I got my 1st stereo, turntable with dual tape deck!!!

The dealer registers on DMVs web and can do so even when the offices are closed. DMV gives the dealers plates to pull from if you're not transferring any, too. As soon as it's ready, the dealer will get you in there to pick it up - they want to be paid and get the truck off the lot ASAP.

Jimmy...the salesman, has explained to me that my newly built Tacoma will be here in CT on/about March 20th.
It hops a train to Newark from San Antonio, then a truck to CT.

    Two Weeks of travel!?!? UGH!!!

I just realized I miss blowing donuts in my old TRD and fear I possibly didn't do enough.

I Just Want My New Yota!!!

My taco is being built today. (3-10) I'm really excited!! I ordered a dc sb TRD off-road in spruce mica. I sprung for the JBL system with nav. I hope is worth it. It's my birthday present to myself. I'm still not sure when it will get to me though.

Yes! The TRD O.R. is worth it! Great choice all around! Give it 5/6 weeks...unfortunately the waiting sucks, but well worth it!

I had a 2000 TRD with the V6 & 5 speed. The new truck has a lot to live up to!

    CONGRATULATIONS!

I think we sold our trucks back around the same time. I already got my wet okole seat covers and weathertech digifits installed, UWS toolbox is sitting in my garage, and fabrication for the custom mount bracket is well underway. Just thought I'd rub that in since I didn't have the luxury of waiting on a special order with all rubber flooring. I would have got the red paint job too, but the dark gray is really growing on me!

TACOMA SR5 DCSB 4X4 V6 6 STICK TOW SPRUCE MICA CAME IN MONDAY!!!

Thanks to all who shared my interest and enthusiasm!

Had 17 miles when i picked her up.
Nothing else even remotely negative to say about my new truck!

I got what I wanted and had to order.

    I Love It!

In all its similarities to my 2000 TRD she is a world apart in refinement yet maintains TACOMA as a TRUCKS TRUCK!

Well it's 3-31 and still no truck. I have to admit I'm going a bit crazy. I have paid for everything. The loan has gone through it was built in Baja. They say it will be here sometime this week, but they said the same thing about it last week. My salesman doesn't seem to give shit. He hasn't even called me, his sales manager answers sometimes when I call. If I didnt get the best price in town from these guys I would really be pissed. It has reminded me that car salesmen are mostly all two faced pricks! Oh well whats one more week. I have been without a car now for 3 weeks!
