Actually....going from a 34.7 x 10.1 to a 33.2 x 9.1. Why? I'm running spacers to clear a 16" wheel, which is rare for a DB lift. Due to the spacer, my backspacing & the wheel height....I rub like Hell....even after butchering the fenders & body mount. Would've been less trouble (rubbing) if I used the 18" wheels with no wheel spacers.

It doesn't make sense to me.....I rub like a mofo when hitting bumps & the wheels are turned all the way to either direction. If the wheels are straight, I have no issues.

I ran a 295x75r17 on a PC wheel that doesnt match that 4.5BS that PC suggests. I used to rub on my sway bar until I pulled it. I have since went to a 285x75r17 and dropped to 5" and still have no rubs. I don't understand why you have the issues and where.

My thoughts....combination of the 1.25" wheel spacer pushing the wheel out in to the fender corners when the tires are turned & the extra weight of the ARB bumper dropped my front end over 1".....current tires are 315/75/16.

Ahhh, the ARB bumper is a tank. I know 2 guys out here that needed to step up to 700# springs to support it.

When you run spacers you make your turning radius of the wheel itself a bigger arc = rub rub rub.

O.k here comes a monumental vent...WTF !!!! I have the absolute worst luck with people f-ing me over every single time I order something. After pre paying 100% and two f-ing months of waiting on my custom order from King I was just told that they never even started on the order yet !?!?

So to recap this shitfest - I started working with SDHQ on uppers, lowers and a King custom order about 6 months ago and after SDHQ blew me off on multiple occasions and never returned a phone call I moved on...apparently they just didn't want my $7k ? In the long run not that much of a bummer because I found the Dirt King uppers and lowers after that. Next, I went to another shock manufacturer who also took my money 100% in advance for a custom order and then delivered me exactly what I did not want after a two month wait and then hassled me about a refund. Finally after getting a refund in January I ended up pre paying King 100% for a custom order and was told at least an 8 week wait....today I find out they had a glitch and never started the order and it will be another 8 week wait !?!? No sympathy - no we'll try to rush it etc !?

To make matters worse my PC CO's are now completely toast and I am basically riding on the coils with zero dampening which means you can't drive over 50 on concrete segmented highways, you get horrible wobbles and your tires wear / cup horribly. So...current CO's are F'd and Kings are another 8 weeks out fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck ! Oh and the icing on the cake is that because PC's are not rebuildable I can't just do a quick rebuild service to get me by either....grrrrr. I need a drink :/

Really SDHQ blew you off? That's not what I would expect from them at all and just doesn't sound right. I had a totally different experience and I'm shocked to read this.

i was shocked too, I went straight to them based on your experience with them. I PM'd them here on TW and got the ball rolling and they just never followed up with me and every time I called I got someone different who would only take a message for their TW guy to get back to me and they seriously never called me back once over nearly two months of trying to get everything through them. I was going to do the TC uppers and lowers same as yours and order custom Icons or Kings through them but literally not a single call returned.

Well that's not like any of them and you should've called Ryan about it and given him the chance to make it right. So who are you going through now?

    Jason,

I do apolagize for not following up as much as needed. The last i remember I was waiting on the Ext/Coll #'s needed since your set-up is not like John's and would need different #'s. BY all means I was not blowing you off though. If there is anything I can do to remedy the situation let me know. If I recall it was during the holiday or right after and it does get crazy with race season starting. But again. If I dropped the ball I am sorry and would love to make up for it if possible. I get a lot of PM's and calls from here, and try to take care of everyone. I am also on Dezert Rangers doing the same.

If you need to cancel with King, ill get Icon building and can have them sooner than 8 weeks, that's for sure. I do know King is backed up a lot, we have been waiting on Bump stops for 4 weeks.

Again, I am sorry this happened and willing to do what is needed. Please let me know. Custom shock's need to be done right the first time and it takes a lot of exact #'s to get that correct.

PM me if you need anything.

    SDHQ

Give Vince the chance to win your business back man. I stand behind these guys and they will make it right. Mistakes happen and I agree that Icons are the way to go. My 2.5 fronts and 2.0 rears are Fucking awesome but you of all people know my experience.

I've been going back and forth on the procomp vs. fabtech for a while, and am still not 100% sure what to do. Some folks say fabtech is beefier, but then one fairly vocal guy on here (yotabeast505) says their spindles are garbage. But, I'm not going to spend more than 1% of my time off road, so I'm thinking the fabtech will be fine for me. Thoughts?

Also, a local shop offered to sell and install the stage 1 fabtech for ~$2500, which sounds like a decent price. They'll also do the cab mount chop and fender liner trimming of free so my 35's don't rub, so that's cool.

What do you guys think about that price?

Should the stage 1 be alright for 99% mall crawling? Or would I be better off going with the dirt logic coils in their stage 2 kit?

Whether you are crawling malls or wheeling you would benifit from spending the $ on better coils for ride quality. Stage 1 kits do not offer good ride quality from PC or fabtech. Take a look at the BDS kit, it has Fox shocks.

Do any of you 6" lifted gents use your sliders as a step bar?

I have nfabs, and they're great as far as step bars, but looking at trading them for some weld on sliders. I love the idea of finally having a slider, but worried about kind of losing that step up into the truck...

Just for clarification, they're the avid sliders with kick outs...

    Thanks for any input!

I'm thinking about sliders also.....most don't stick out very far though. I spoke to Eddy about some, the guy in my signature (SOS Concepts), his stick out further than most. So when the money comes up, I'm going to call him.
