Have you test drove one? They're a blast! Looked at a few before I decided on the Corolla.

 

Met a badass fabricator and mechanic today. He's done a few sas's gonna have him box up my cab mount next week and see a few of his projects.

driven 5 different ones so far. 4 FRS, 1 BRZ. i'm in love. most fun I've ever had in a vehicle on pavement. don't even have to break the speed limit to have fun in it, which is why I like it.

 

Same exact thoughts on why I loved it. Just didn't want to spend that much on a vehicle right now.

 

This thing is so low its like driving a go kart around town. Sucks i have to drive it "nicely" since it is a customers car. Definitely a huge difference compared to the taco.

 

I'm gonna meet with him and check out his stuff this Thursday and make sure he's legit and I'll share info.

 

yeah, that's the only thing keeping it from being a no brainer purchase. I've got about 15 different cars on my list to consider for a daily driver, and the frs/brz is the only one i'd buy new. though if I found a good one used, i'd consider that too.

 

The new WRX looks pretty good starts out at $26k

not concerned about fuel mileage. the purpose of this daily is not to be a fuel efficient alternative to the truck, but rather a fun to drive alternative that fits into parking garages, and allows my to put the truck on jack stands and work on it for longer durations.
