    static compression, you won't really lose anything as compared to stock. dynamic compression, you will actually gain a hair of up travel, however they will rebound you pretty quick from that point.

    How did you mount your Timbren's on the flip kit plate? I was going to order these up but I am trying to figure out the best way to mount them.

    you can get the AP spring plate pre drilled/tapped for the timbrens. they bolt right up.

    Well crap. I guess i need to get new top plates. My AP flip kit is about 6 years old so I don't recall if they are pre-drilled or not from back then.

    Next question: What gearing are you running and what are your opinions with drive-ability and 4lo wheeling?

    My truck came with 4.30's with the 6-speed and i think the 315s will be just at the limit of the gearing and will probably go 5.29's if I feel that road driving is too affected or a 4.0:1 gear swap in the T-case at some point if i feel the road drive-ability is fine but the 4lo range is too tall.

    Are you first or second gen tacoma? Makes a big difference. 2nd gen tacomas never came with 4.30's and 5.29's aren't available yet.

    Just drill and tap your own holes if you have the tools. if not, this is a good excuse to buy them :D

    Only gear ratio I know that came stock on any 2nd gen with v6 was 3.73. Even with the 6spd

    Just saying that after 2005 the only gearsets available from factory was and still is 3.73 for v6 and 4.10 for 4cyl. The last factory toyota truck with 4.30 was the pre tacoma pickups with 22re's I think.

    Back to the question, what are people's opinions in the stock gearing (3.73) and 315's?.
    Also, when running these tires what are the first things to start breaking?

    I know a member who was running 35x12.5x17 on a 2010 auto v6 TRD off-road with the stock 3.73 gears.
    His trans cooked.:(
