fuck that we've got young guys that can score 20-25 goals a year. Trade Callahan for a D man today and we'll be better off. TB will be stupid to re-sign Callahan at the 6 mil a year he's asking for because they'll have to give NYR a 2nd round draft pick too

 

Didn't know the 2nd round pick was hinged on Callahan's signing. If flipping him will let Tbay keep the pick then sure Yzerman would be crazy not to if he can get a decent player. But you are dreaming bud if you think you'll get a solid D man for a rental like Callahan. Solid D men are hard to come by and fetch top dollar

St.Louis asked for a trade. Why? Because he wasn't chosen to the first Olympic team? If this is truly why, then yes he is a suck-hole. Being chosen isn't a right it is a privilege. Asking for a trade because of it is lame. So yeah I agree with Ferraro, St.Louis should not have asked for a trade, he should have been a man and played for his team

As a TB fan, let me say this...I was the world’s biggest Marty fan at the beginning of the year, but for the Captain to whine and demand out of town because he wasn’t named to the Olympic team…peace out.

Nail in the coffin for me was him ducking the press after his poor play last night (-3).

I appreciate everything he’s done for us. He’s played much taller than his height. He’s played much stronger than his frame. He was a heart and soul player with elite skills. He was everything to TB for over a decade. Thanks for your service.

With that said, I hope you never score another NHL goal. I hope the New York media eats you alive for being unable to produce on your new team. I hope that NYR wins in the first round despite you, just so TB will get that 1st round pick. I’ll never wear your jersey again. Goodbye.

 

^ this. St. Louis is a hell of a player but the way he dealt with that whole situation was ridiculous. Why he'd want out of a good situation in Tampa to go a bubble team like thr Rangers is beyond me.

The timing and him being traded at the deadline speaks more than anything. He has a hair across his ass these days and no doubt turned up the heat on Yzerman

 

Why would I wear his jersey or cheer for him? He's plays for another team now.

I appreciate everything he did for TB while he was here, but he got butthurt because Stevie Y didn't pick him for Team Canada. He demanded a trade and claimed he would waive every team unless it was NYR. He handcuffed the team that he was named captain to. Great behavior for a Captain...
