I like the ride and handling, granted its a new truck compared to my old 2004 TRD DCSB, but it handles much better.

The seating position is too low, and with no way to adjust the seat height, I feel like they missed the mark on the ergonomics portion of designing the interior. The steering wheel doesn't telescope back far enough, either.

I live in Florida, so no issues with the truck warming up, but it never really gets tested out and if it's going to be really nasty, I just put it in the garage.

^^^^This. And check your coolant level. My 2007 Mitsu Outlander blew cool air when stopped at a light even after hours of driving. I had stat checked, had dealer check it out. Eventually I checked coolant level (don't ask me why it took me so long to do that). After topping it up everything ran and heated as it should.

Please don't take what I posted as critical. But... number one seems like a non-issue and the second one sounds like you have a issue. The third one I've never experienced.

I seriously hope that no one on this forum is legitimately debating on moving to this barren wasteland of hell. The winter and boredom will drive someone insane.

It is nice in the summer though. Except for mosquitoes.

I thought the tacoma heats up pretty fast. I'm another one of the guys who normally sees below Zero temps for weeks straight in winter. My 04 Yukon was one cold dog in the morning. Only thing that made it bearable was the heated seats. Otherwise it took forever and a day to heat up.

It's funny but I tried adjusting the wheel but no matter what I do it blocks something. It's a minor issure, more annoying than anything.

Dealer tells me the thermostat and system is in spec. I think I may try the other dealer near me and see what they tell me. But it was good to see others have the same feeling.

I tried holding the recirc button for a few seconds at lunch time today. It worked!

Some of you guys need to relax when someone states an issue with their truck instead of going into defense mode. You'd think the OP just talked shit about your family with these replies. He listed issues HE has on HIS truck. Then asked what complaints you guys have. It doesn't matter if it's a non-issue to you, b/c that's not going to miraculously make it a non-issue for him. Maybe you experienced the same issue and know how to fix it, or a way around it. A simple, "Hey buddy try this......" is a lot more effective then being an internet tough guy.

I've never had any issues with heating but I'm a reg cab and I imagine those heat up faster than access or double cabs. Only issue I can think of is the ability to get anywhere. People expect me places regardless of weather.

And someone on here made me realize the coolant may be low. My 4Runner did that to me last year. I noticed cold air coming out the vents when I stopped for red lights. For some reason it made me check the coolant level and it was low.

When I get home tonight I will check the Tacoma.

I also had another thought about not seeing the dash. I haven't tried moving the seatback which may give me that 1" that I need.

The heater will be a non issue shortly though. It's March, it has to warm up. Next winter I'm spending Jan/Feb in FL.
