Well is it an overnight camping trip? Or like a weekend trip. Who knows

 

Some are overnighting it. I will be, and so will Steve (staticsquelch). Some are moving on to other trails that day or headed home. I plan to camp somewhere around Horsethief Basin lake or somewhere right where the back way trail ends at the top. Pretty much just find a spot wherever.

 

i probably wont be camping unfortunatley as my gf works sundays now.

 

Im in for this trip

 

If I get the days off, Ill hopefully be able to do a day run

The growth of this list is inversely proportional to how long this run is going to take! As long as we keep moving, don't have any traffic jams by other groups, and keep the BS to a minimum... we should be up to the top between 1-2pm. If someone gets jammed up, this will be an all-day deal. So, plan for that.

we can fill all the spots in the whole town! theres quite a few of good camp spots right when you get to the top like adam said. theres some big uns.


also since were going to have 2wds skinnying it up stuff, i can go in front. im 4wd long travel and i haul ass, so i wouldnt slow the 2wdrs down, and i can pull them up things if need be? either way works for me though, was just an idea.

 

We would take over all the spots at the restaurant, that's for sure. I'd like to roll into town and have a big lunch, then creep back out to a cool camp site and enjoy the evening. I'll plan to camp over and then head out the front way on Sunday after waking up and breaking camp.
